Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Implement shared strategies in the management of targeted clinical challenges. 2. Assess and manage patients presenting with certain clinical problems. 3. Recognize clinical services available to their patients in the system.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

Despite established guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease, there remains a significant gap in the consistent application of antibiotic stewardship principles among healthcare providers. Many clinicians either overprescribe antibiotics due to diagnostic uncertainty or fail to recognize when antibiotic therapy is unnecessary, contributing to antimicrobial resistance and patient harm.
