Megan Hopper, MBA, is the vice president of principal giving at Akron Children’s. Hopper leads a team in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major donors to advance the hospital’s mission through philanthropic opportunities. She joined the hospital in 2019 as senior director, principal giving. Under her leadership, the principal giving team grew significantly in the number of major donors and funds raised, including the establishment of 10 new endowed chairs. Prior to joining Akron Children’s, Hopper served as the director of development and strategic initiatives at the University of Akron. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and her Master of Business Administration from Walsh University.
