As the Vice President of Development and Executive Director of the Foundation, John LaGuardia is responsible for all of Akron Children’s Hospital’s fundraising. LaGuardia and his administrative team are responsible for designing and ensuring the success of a comprehensive fundraising program to assist the hospital in meeting its immediate and long-range financial goals. 

LaGuardia and his team maintain a close relationship with the hospital’s administrative staff and all external organizations, including the Board of Directors, Foundation Board, Women’s Board, friends, volunteers, and the many interested individuals in Akron Children’s Hospital’s future. 

LaGuardia is a retired member of Boy Scouts of America Great Trails Council and the American Heart Association, Board of Directors. He has also served on a number of other boards and committees in the Greater Cleveland/Akron area. 

LaGuardia is married with one daughter, four sons, eight grandsons and three granddaughters. He lives in the Stow area and enjoys traveling and his family.
