Cause for Rejection:
Specimen received in unsterile container. Specimen older than 2 hours without refrigeration; Specimens >24 hours. Urine specimens obtained with the same collection method within 48 hours of receipt of first specimen will be rejected as a duplicate specimen.
Refrigerated or Ambient up to 24 hours if stored in a urine C&S transport tube

2 cultures containing 100,000 CFU/mL of the same organism is 95% confirmatory
