Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Identify the clinical presentation and diagnostic challenges of pediatric diaphragm injuries.

2. Apply current management strategies, including surgical and non-surgical approaches, to optimize patient outcomes.

3. Evaluate potential complications and long-term considerations to enhance recovery and quality of care in pediatric patients.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

Pediatric diaphragm injuries are rare and often under-recognized due to their subtle clinical presentation and diagnostic complexity. Many healthcare providers may lack familiarity with current management strategies—both surgical and non-surgical—and may be unaware of the potential complications and long-term outcomes associated with these injuries.
