Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Differentiate between normal and abnormal menstrual patterns in an adolescent patient. 2. Examine common contraindications related to hormonal management of menstrual cycles. 3. Differentiate between normal and abnormal menstrual patterns in an adolescent patient.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

Primary care providers frequently encounter adolescent patients with menstrual irregularities, but many lack sufficient knowledge on menstrual problems and their management. Further education is essential to ensure providers can effectively manage their patients.
