Objectives (Educational Content) :
1. Describe different models of school based health services in the Mahoning Valley. 2. Explain measurable health outcomes for School Based Health in the East region. 3. Identify members of the School Healthcare team to create an integrated culture across the continuum of care.
Target Audience:
General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.
Identified Gap:
Providers working in school-based health settings may benefit from enhanced skills in practice-based learning, communication, and professional responsibility to meet the unique needs of pediatric populations in educational environments. Gaps in these areas can impact care coordination, patient engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
