Objectives (Educational Content) :
1. Describe the components of a sports health and performance optimization program. 2. Identify the team of providers involved in a sports health and performance service line. 3. Recognize 3 of the most common issues that interfere with the health of an athlete and learn indications for referral.
Target Audience:
General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.
Identified Gap:
There is often a lack of comprehensive understanding about sports health and performance optimization programs and the collaborative efforts required to address common health issues in athletes. Addressing this missing understanding can enhance the understanding and implementation of sports health and performance optimization programs, improving athlete health and performance.
