Objectives (Educational Content) :
1. Define the criteria necessary to make a diagnosis of eosinophilic esophagitis and understand the clinical presentation. 2. Determine long-term consequences of untreated eosinophilic esophagitis. 3. Understand the rationale of the different treatment options for eosinophilic esophagitis.
Target Audience:
General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.
Identified Gap:
Many healthcare providers may not be fully up to date on the evolving diagnostic criteria, clinical presentation, and long-term implications of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). Additionally, there may be uncertainty regarding the rationale and selection of appropriate treatment options.
