Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Identify types of and risk factors for dental/oro-facial trauma.

2. Improve ability to triage and respond to orofacial trauma in a timely manner.

3. Understand long-term outcomes related to orofacial trauma.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

Pediatric healthcare providers need improved knowledge and clinical skills to effectively identify, triage, and manage dental and orofacial trauma in children. Education is needed to enhance recognition of trauma types and risk factors, support timely and appropriate response, and increase awareness of long-term outcomes associated with orofacial injuries.
