Objectives
- Develop expertise in fluid and electrolyte, acid-base balance in pediatrics
- Gain training in renal disease, hypertension and renal failure in pediatrics
Description
- Active clinical participation in the care of inpatients and outpatients with renal-related problems
- Work-up and discussion of new patients particularly, but not limited to, the office setting
- Special emphasis on laboratory test interpretation
- Renal pathology and radiology demonstrations and practical experience
- Typical schedule: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Monday – Friday)
- Night call/special requirements: None
