- Gain an understanding of basic concepts in the diagnosis and management of common pediatric infectious illnesses
- Review medical microbiology of clinical relevance
- Develop expertise in antibiotic therapy for pediatric patients

- Evaluate pediatric infectious disease consults daily
- Follow patients on the pediatric infectious disease service
- Examine the bacteriology plates from those patients
- Night call/special requirements: None
