Methodology:
Cultured cells are fixed to slides, hybridized overnight to the appropriate DNA probe(s), washed, and counterstained. 10 cells are analyzed using a fluorescence microscope and the images are captured digitally using image analysis software.
Special Instructions:
Include pertinent medical findings on the requisition with suspected diagnosis and/or indication(s) for the testing. Typically must be ordered with chromosome analysis.
