Cause for Rejection:
Grossly hemolyzed specimens will be rejected. Specimens preserved in citrate, EDTA, fluoride, heparin, or iodoacetate are unacceptable.

Special Instructions:
Total CK should be > 100 U/L to provide meaningful isoenzyme results. Remove serum from cells ASAP CKMB and CKBB are temperature labile. Repeated freeze/thaw cycles destroy CK activity.
