Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Summarize the epidemiology, etiology, presentation, and natural history of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis. 2. Describe effective screening, referral, and imaging studies for scoliosis patients and discuss health equity as it relates to scoliosis and current projects focused on addressing disparity at ACH. 3. Analyze health equity as it relates to scoliosis and current projects focused on addressing disparity at ACH.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

Scoliosis is commonly detected during pediatric well visits. Primary care providers often refer patients to specialists due to a lack of expertise in measuring the degree of curvature and managing the condition.

The learner will view the presentation, successfully complete a post-test and complete an activity evaluation.
