Objectives (Educational Content) :
1. Describe the field of clinical research informatics.
2. Provide examples of clinical research informatics related research opportunities for non-informaticians.
3.Enable interested attendees to do at least ONE THING new/different related to research in their own field of interest using clinical research informatics related concepts and/or tools.
Target Audience:
General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.
Identified Gap:
Many clinicians and researchers lack sufficient knowledge and competence in clinical research informatics—including understanding the field, recognizing how informatics tools can support their research, and identifying practical opportunities to apply informatics methods—resulting in missed chances to improve research efficiency, data quality, and innovation.
Estimated Time to Complete the Educational Activity:
1 hour(s)
Expiration Date for CE/CME Credit:
01-08-2027
Method of Participation in the Learning Process:
The learner will view the presentation, successfully complete a post-test and complete an activity evaluation.
Evaluation Methods:
All learners must successfully complete a post-test, as well as an activity evaluation, to claim CE/CME credit.
