Objectives (Educational Content) :

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

There is a persistent gap between current clinical practice and optimal, evidence-based management of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), as clinicians often face challenges in accurately diagnosing its diverse forms, understanding its complex pathogenesis, and consistently applying evolving treatment strategies. Variability in recognizing disease manifestations can delay diagnosis, while limited familiarity with immunologic mechanisms and emerging therapies contributes to suboptimal use of targeted treatments. As a result, patients may not receive the most appropriate or timely care. This activity addresses these gaps by enhancing clinician knowledge, competence, and performance in diagnosing SLE and integrating current and emerging therapies into practice to improve patient outcomes.
