Akron Children's Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute includes visionary centers of excellence that are dedicated to exploring forward-looking research fields with potential for novel investigative advances that will positively impact patient care and improve the health, well-being and quality of life of children and families in northeast Ohio and around the world.

With research studies being conducted by nearly 250 investigators in over 50 departments, research is part of the fabric of the culture at Akron Children's. Though our centers of research, we are building on the established foundation for pediatric research to develop a more cohesive research community where scientists and clinicians can partner, share ideas and benefit from the strength and synergy of the group.
