Bereaved Mother’s Day was created to honor mothers who have lost a child, as well as recognize women who cannot be a mother due to infertility or other health reasons.
5. After 18 days in the NICU, triplets Parker, Robin and Sylvie were headed home to start their lives with their dads in Michigan.

Surrogate Maureen Farris of Akron was put in touch with Kevin O’Neill and Eric Portenga by a mutual friend.
6. The sounds of Willie Nelson, the therapy mini horse from Victory Gallop, filled the halls in July as he made his first visit to the hospital since March 2020.
7. There’s more than a bit of spooky fun at Akron Children’s around Halloween! We asked you to help us pick the best staff costumes.
8. In what has become a beloved tradition, the superhero window washers from American National Skyline, Inc. returned to Akron Children’s Hospital in September to entertain patients and families on our Akron campus.
9. In October, Newsweek ranked Akron Children’s 16th among pediatric hospitals in its 2022 list of the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals.
