Clinical Patient Facing -RN (PRN)

    Minimum Qualification: Active RN License

    Prior ACH Role: Inpatient or Non-Hospital Nursing and APRNs 

    Note:  These job duties are not required of all applicants as applicable to care setting and within scope of practice.       Example provided are meant to be types of duties that may be needed based upon assigned care setting.  Training  and competencies will be provided. 

    Based upon assignment available to care setting, job duties may include the following.

    • Active RN license required
    • Provide 1:1 Patient Care Companion (PCC) –Primary Function
    • Vital Signs
    • Feed patients – PO (NICU excluded)
    • Documentation
    • Assist in treatment rooms
    • Setup and cleanup of treatment room
    • Assist with comfort positioning
    • Support patient/family
    • Distraction
    • Assist with patient care
    • Sit with/hold patients
    • Bathe patients
    • Linen change
    • Ambulate patients
    • Hourly rounds
    • Turn patients
    • Assist patients with ADLs/Hygiene/Oral Care
    • Toilet patients/change diapers/obtain clean catch
    • Measure intake/output
    • Obtain weights/lengths/heights/head circumference
    • Transfer patients
    • Assist with admissions and discharges
    • Assist Respiratory Therapist
    • Setup equipment for new admits
    • Pull and clean equipment that is removed from patients
    • Run OVP on equipment (vent, iNO)
    • Bring stock from respiratory department
    • Stock intubation cart after use/check q shift
    • RT assess patient with vest, begin therapy and other person take off
    • Change ballard suction caths daily (needs charted to charge)
    • Hold for x-ray
    • Tank empty tanks to tank room and get replacements
    • RT assess patient Qshift if on vest therapy, palm percussor, other person do actual AWC
    • Use airway clearance pathway
    • Answer call lights and phones
    • Monitor visitor entry to unit
    • Escort and rooming of patients
    • Assist with requesting Visitor Exceptions
    • Clean rooms after discharge
    • Assist families to exit with wagons/wheelchairs
    • Transport specimens to Lab
    • Other duties as assigned with Just in Time Training
