Ancillary Clinical (PRN)
Rate: $23/hour
Minimum Qualification: Appropriate credentials or certification as required by Department (i.e. Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy)
Prior ACH Role: Credentialed staff outside of Ancillary departments, Credentialed staff in Ancillary departments in non-clinical roles, Credentialed staff in Ancillary Departments willing to take on additional responsibilities. Includes jobs such as: Lab Techs, Lab assistants, Phlebotomists, Rad Techs, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Techs, etc.
Note: These job duties are not required of all applicants. Duties will be applicable to care setting and within scope of practice. Example provided are meant to be types of duties that may be needed based upon assigned care setting. Training and competencies will be provided.
Based upon assignment available to care setting, job duties may include the following.

- Laboratory
- Specimen processing/ receiving/sorting/ centrifuging
- Blood draws, specimen collections – Inpatient and Outpatients
- Run testing – one instrument or process
- Make reagents, QC, etc.
- Process Sendout testing
- Manage specimen problems
- Result communication
- Pharmacist
- Order verification
- Medication dispensing and compounding (IV and Oral)
- Medication and supply stocking (Medselect and Omnicell)
- Adjust shift time/days of work based on need
- Pharmacy Technicians
- Regular technician duties
- Medication delivery
- Manage telephone calls
- Medication and supply stocking (driving to offsite locations)
- Adjust shift time/days of work based on need
- Cover inventory coordinator
- Manager/Supervisor
- Perform pharmacist and pharmacy tech responsibilities
- Adjust shift time/days of work based on need
- Cover inventory coordinator
- Radiology
- Maintain scans specific to modality
- Perform relevant screenings
- Clean rooms, equipment after use
- Assist with comfort holding for procedures, contrast injections, blood draws
- Restock rooms, supplies
- Answer clinical phones – relay messages to appropriate areas
