Dr. Kassabian is a pediatric gastroenterologist and the director of endoscopy and non-invasive procedures at Akron Children’s Hospital, where she’s been practicing since 2013. She earned her medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in San Pedro, Belize and completed a residency in pediatrics at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Kassabian is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology. She is a member of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America North American, the Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Kassabian is also an associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University and is fluent in Arabic and Armenian.
