Lisa D. Stanford, PhD, ABPP

Dr. Stanford is a pediatric neuropsychologist and director of the Division of Neurobehavioral Health at Akron Children’s Hospital. She’s been in practice since 1991 and with Akron Children’s since 2011. After graduating from the University of Georgia, she completed a residency in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Chicago Medical Center and a fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Stanford has a special interest in lifespan neuropsychological evaluation of central nervous system disorders. She is certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in clinical neuropsychology (lifespan) and a subspecialty in pediatric neuropsychology. Dr. Stanford has published numerous articles and presentations on topics related to neuropsychology, and is a member of the American Psychological Association, among several other professional organizations. Dr. Stanford is a professor of pediatrics and psychology at Northeast Ohio Medical University and an adjunct professor at Kent State University.
