James Brazeal

As Vice President of Research Administration at Akron Children’s Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute, James Brazeal is responsible for ensuring that our research facilities and scientific operations effectively and efficiently support investigators and their scientific pursuits. Brazeal also works with chief research officer Dr. Michael Kelly to establish strategic goals for the research institute. Before joining Akron Children’s, Brazeal served as chief administrative officer for research for Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pennsylvania. Previously, he was executive director of technology development, transfer and commercialization for Geisinger. Prior to that, he was director of technology commercialization at The University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he also worked as a licensing and business development associate. Brazeal graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in biology and holds a juris doctor from The University of Missouri-Kansas City.
