Brian Schroer, MD

Dr. Schroer is a pediatric allergist/immunologist and the director of allergy and immunology at Akron Children’s Hospital. He’s been practicing since 2010. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Fla. and a bachelor’s degree from Duke University in Durham, N.C. Dr. Schroer completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He went on to complete a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Cleveland Clinic. He has a special interest in food allergy, food immunotherapy, eosinophilic esophagitis, eczema, drug allergy, asthma and allergic rhinitis. Dr. Schroer is board-certified in internal medicine, pediatrics and allergy. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology and is a member of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology. He has authored numerous articles, abstracts and book chapters, as well as contributed to research and served as an expert source in the media. Additionally, Dr. Schroer has extensive teaching experience, including serving as an associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
