Pediatric inpatient unit at Aultman has reopened

Akron Children’s Hospital is pleased to announce that our pediatric inpatient unit at Aultman Hospital in Canton has reopened.  It will continue to be a Level II inpatient unit offering the same level of care that it had prior to closing during the beginning of the pandemic.  Our providers and caregivers look forward to once again caring for children in Stark and surrounding counties.

  • Admission from office or ER
  • Hospital-to-hospital transfer
  • Outpatient consultation
  • Observation
  • Infusion therapy
  • Hospital or ER follow-up
  • Surgical co-management

  • Abdominal pain
  • Accidental ingestion
  • Asthma
  • Bronchiolitis
  • Cellulitis/abscess
  • Croup
  • Dehydration
  • Diabetes and DKA
  • Failure to thrive

  • Neonatal jaundice
  • Pneumonia (bacterial)
