Miracles & Promises Radiothon

The Miracles & Promises Radiothon broadcasts live from the campus of Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley Beeghly Campus every September, raising funds for the programs and services provided by Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley. Since 2009, the annual broadcast has raised over $2.1 million to help the children in the Mahoning Valley.

This year's Radiothon was rescheduled for November 21 and 22 due to the untimely passing of iHeartMedia radio host Wes Miller, who was integral in its production. “Wes was a consummate professional, a true champion for our children and will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of working with him,” said Luann Maynard, director of development, Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.

The radiothon will be broadcast live on Mix 98.9 and 570 WKBN from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day from the hospital’s Beeghly campus in Boardman.

Our success would not be possible without the dedicated staff from iHeartMedia, Mix 98.9, 570 WKBN, volunteers, Miracle Makers, Miracle Match sponsors, Change Bandits, and donors who all give their time, talent and treasure to this annual event.

Pre-radiothon fundraising activities have begun, and you can help make miracles happen by becoming a Change Bandit. The Change Bandit program is a fun and easy way for everyone to raise funds for the kids in our care. The Change Bandit program officially kicks off the Miracles and Promises Radiothon and all dollars raised will be announced on the air during the Miracles and Promises Radiothon. Some fun ways to start your Change Bandit campaign are:
