Resident Education in a Community Site

We are grateful for our community-based primary care physicians who serve as preceptors in our resident education program. Your participation allows us to offer our residents a variety of practical experiences in urban, suburban and rural communities.

To support you in this process, several resources are available here – from learning modules to editions of The Preceptor Press and related educational articles. These resources will help you provide your resident with a meaningful clinical experience.

If you have any questions or concerns about the modules, or updates or suggestions about content, please contact me: sben-zion@akronchildrens.org.

The learning modules were created in 2013 by Dr. Jennifer Snyder and are revised on a continuous basis to supplement primary care learning in the RECS offices.  The modules cover a range of general pediatrics topics and have been reviewed and updated with current articles and references.  Each module consists of objectives, reference articles and/or materials, and a short quiz.  These are great resources during the resident’s 2nd and 3rd years.
