Application Process for Pediatric Pathology Fellowship

You must meet the following criteria to apply for our pediatric pathology fellowship program:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Passed steps 1 and 2 of USMLE
  • Board eligible in anatomical pathology (AP) or anatomical and clinical pathology (AP-CP)
  • Ohio medical license and DEA number is recommended, but not required
  • U.S. citizenship, permanent residency or J-1 Visa

Process of Appointment

After initial communication with the program director, applicants are invited to Akron Children's Hospital for faculty interviews. We do not consider applicants without an interview. 

Following selection, we submit the application and other documents to our medical staff office for verification of medical school training and other credentials. After we verify credentials, our medical education department processes the application and notifies the applicant.
