Pediatric cardiologist joins Akron Children's

Stephen Manu, MD, has joined Akron Children’s Hospital’s Heart Center as a pediatric cardiologist.

Dr. Manu will provide specialized cardiology care to infants, children, teens and adults with congenital heart disease. He will see patients in the Heart Center located at Akron Children’s, as well as at the hospital’s specialty care locations in Beachwood, Medina, Norwalk and Twinsburg.

After graduating from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, Calif., Dr. Manu completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Orange, Calif. He completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic and is board certified in pediatrics.

The team in the Heart Center offers cardiovascular services, from before birth through adulthood, for patients with congenital heart disease and pediatric arrhythmia disorders. The center is accredited in pediatric and fetal echocardiography by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories and is a top ranked cardiovascular surgery program by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Congenital Heart Surgery Database.

Dr. Manu resides in Cleveland.
