Pediatric orthopedic surgeon joins Akron Children’s Hospital

Anthony Silverio, D.O., has joined Akron Children’s Hospital as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. He is seeing patients in both Akron and the Mahoning Valley.

Dr. Silverio received his doctorate in medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Riverside University Health System in Moreno Valley, California, and his pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Silverio resides in Hudson with his wife, Sarah, and three children.

Akron Children’s department of pediatric orthopedics treats children with all types of orthopedic conditions, including brachial plexus injuries, brittle bone disease (osteogenesis imperfecta), bone tumors, cerebral palsy, congenital hand and foot deformities, hip dysplasia, limb length discrepancies, scoliosis, spina bifida and sports injuries.
