New Leaf Center Clinic for Special Children welcomes Ethan Scott, M.D., to its practice.
Dr. Scott earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University and completed his pediatric residency at Akron Children’s Hospital. He also earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Kent State University.
Dr. Scott joins clinic staff in providing care to Amish and Mennonite children and adults with complex medical conditions. Currently, Dr. Scott is conducting research examining differences in clinical outcomes for patients with Cartilage Hair Hypoplasia who are at increased risk for Severe Combined Immunodeficiency as identified on their newborn screen.
He is a resident of Canal Fulton, where he lives with his wife, Elizabeth, and newborn daughter.
Located at 15988B E. Chestnut St. in Mount Eaton, New Leaf Center strives to improve the quality of life for people with special needs caused by inherited disorders through cost-effective medical care, education, research and advocacy. The clinic is operated in collaboration with Akron Children’s Hospital.
