Infectious disease physician joins Akron Children’s Hospital

Eric Robinette, M.D., has joined Akron Children’s Hospital as a pediatric infectious disease physician and physician informaticist.

Dr. Robinette received his doctorate in medicine from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown. He completed his pediatric residency at Akron Children’s Hospital and his fellowship in pediatric infectious disease at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati.

Akron Children’s department of pediatric infectious disease specializes in diseases and syndromes that attack or compromise the immune system of infants, children and teens, including persistent infections that don't respond to conventional antibiotic treatments. Its medical professionals also consult on patients with complex, undiagnosed diseases and fevers of unknown origin, and conduct research into new methods and treatments of infectious diseases.

Dr. Robinette resides in Massillon with his wife, Rachel.
