Leilanie Perez Ramirez, M.D., recently joined Akron Children’s Hospital’s Allergy and Immunology department. She sees patients in both Akron and the Mahoning Valley.
Dr. Perez Ramirez completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati. Her pediatrics residency was at Pediatric University Hospital at The University of Puerto Rico.
She received her medical degree from The University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She also has a master’s of science degree in clinical and translational research from The University of Cincinnati.
Prior to joining Akron Children’s, Dr. Perez Ramirez worked as a physician in Jacksonville, Florida, and as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida.
Dr. Perez Ramirez lives in Stow with her husband and daughter.
Akron Children's Hospital’s Allergy and Immunology providers are specially trained to care for infants, children and teens with allergies, asthma and other diseases related to a dysfunction of the immune system.
