Physiatrist Adam Bartlett, M.D., has joined the pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation department at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Prior to joining Akron Children’s, Dr. Bartlett was a pediatric physiatrist at University of California San Francisco Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California. He earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, where he also completed an internship in internal medicine.
His residency was at Rutgers University in the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation and his fellowship in pediatric rehabilitation was at Children’s Specialized Hospital, located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in integrated science and biophysics from Northwestern University in Chicago. Prior to entering medical school, he taught science and mathematics at Jewish Community High School of the Bay in San Francisco.
Dr. Bartlett resides in Hudson with his wife, Kerry, and son, Harry.
Akron Children’s physicians in physical medicine and rehabilitation specialize in the diagnosis and management of children with conditions that result in functional impairment or disability. The rehabilitation team coordinates an individualized treatment plan to meet each child’s specific medical, functional, behavioral and educational needs.
