Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics welcomes Ashleigh Galizio, M.D., to its Twinsburg office. The practice – which is located at 8054 Darrow Road, Suite 3 – provides pediatric primary care for infants, babies and teens.
Dr. Galizio is returning to Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics, where she previously worked as a pediatrician. Most recently, she was a primary care pediatrician at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Dr. Galizio’s pediatric internship and residency were at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland. She earned her medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton and a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Galizio, a native of Firestone Park in Akron, lives in Hudson with her husband, Dr. Michael Pena, who is a pediatric pulmonologist at Akron Children’s.
In addition to Dr. Galizio, the Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics care team in Twinsburg includes Drs. Jeffrey Jinks, Lisa Light, Michelle McMillan and Susan Shah.

Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics providers are dedicated to treating the “whole child,” working with parents/caregivers to help children reach growth and developmental milestones. Patients who require specialized care receive referrals to board-certified specialty physicians affiliated with Akron Children’s Hospital.
