Pediatric plastic surgeon Ashish Francis, M.D., has joined Akron Children’s Hospital in its Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Center.
Dr. Francis earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada’s Reno School of Medicine in Reno, Nevada. Prior to joining Akron Children’s, he completed his fellowship in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. His residency in integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery was at The University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine in Las Vegas.
His specific interests are in microsurgery, facial reanimation, corrective jaw (orthognathic surgery) and ear reconstruction. Dr. Francis is also on the medical staff at Summa Health System.
Dr. Francis resides in Hudson with his wife and two sons.
