Akron Children’s Hospital now offers pediatric gastroenterology services in Norwalk.

Pediatric gastroenterologists Dr. Reinaldo Garcia-Naviero and Dr. Matthew Wyneski see patients at the Akron Children’s Hospital Specialty Care office at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, 228 Benedict Ave. Appointments are available on Thursdays.

“Families in the Norwalk area will no longer have to travel long distances to see our pediatric gastroenterologists,” said Danielle Bartlett, operations manager for Akron Children’s Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. “We are always working to increase access for patient families, and bringing specialty healthcare close to home helps us do just that.”

Akron Children’s Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology provides diagnosis and treatment of infants, children and teens with gastrointestinal diseases, such as celiac disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and inflammatory bowel disease. Most of these conditions are treatable and controllable through a combination of diet, medicine and, in some cases, surgery.
