Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics’ Green office welcomes three new providers

Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics welcomes Shannon King, D.O., Erin Armao, M.D., and Abigail Vallandingham, D.O., to its Green office. The practice – located at 1622 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road – provides pediatric primary care for infants, children and teens.

Dr. King earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. She also earned a master of arts degree in anatomy and neurobiology from Boston University School of Medicine and a bachelor of arts in English from Kent State University. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Akron Children’s Hospital. She currently lives in Cuyahoga Falls with her fiancé, Andy.

Dr. Erin Armao

 

Dr. Armao received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She also earned her bachelor of science degree in neuroscience from the University of Cincinnati. She completed her pediatrics residency at Akron Children’s Hospital. Dr. Armao lives in West Akron with her husband, Jeremy.

Dr. Vallandingham is a graduate of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. She also holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. She completed her residency at Akron Children’s Hospital. She lives in West Akron with her husband, Zach.

The Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics care team in Green also includes Drs. Richard Ball, Valeri Hood, Sharon McKee, Charlyce Wallington and Leigh Wells and pediatric nurse practitioners Elizabeth Forcina, Lynne Hamrick, Sharon Juszli and Colette Libertin.

With same-day, evening and Saturday appointments available, Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics offers:

  • Free pediatrician interviews for new parents.
  • Annual well-child visits and routine checkups.
  • Treatment for illness and injury.
  • Vaccines.
  • Sports, school and camp physicals.
  • Chronic disease management.

Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics providers are dedicated to treating the “whole child,” working with parents/caregivers to help children reach growth and developmental milestones. Patients who require specialized care receive referrals to board-certified specialty physicians affiliated with Akron Children’s Hospital.
