Methodology:
Virus culture with subsequent IFA stain
Special Instructions:
Keep cold on ice or refrigerated. Deliver to lab ASAP. Use STERILE urine container or CSF tube. NO PRESERVATIVE. If a Virus Culture Panel is ordered on a specimen that is unacceptable for one of the tests, that test will be credited. Only viruses commonly recognized as pathogenic for a given site will be reported.

Specimens will be processed daily M-F if received in the Virology laboratory by 2:30 p.m. and on weekends if received by 11:30 a.m. Reference Range: No virus isolated.
