Methodology:
Enzyme Linked Virus Inducible System (ELVIS-tm) svc. Typing by IFA
Special Instructions:
Swab patient site with enough force to obtain epithelial cells. Conjunctiva - use moistened swab. Break off swabs into M4M (viral transport media). M4M is available from Micro/Viro lab and CCL. Specimens will be processed daily M-F if received in the Virology laboratory by 2:30 p.m. and on weekends if received by 11:30 a.m.
