The new Akron Children’s Health Center, Portage, located at 2497 State Route 59 in Ravenna, will open Tuesday, May 5.
Akron Children’s is bringing convenient access, and more pediatric services, to families in Portage County with the opening of its new health center on May 5. The new 29,500-square-foot health center, located at 2497 State Route 59 in Ravenna, will offer primary care, Quick Care and rehabilitative services for babies, kids and teens.
“We understand how important it is to have access to care, especially for today’s busy families. Our new location allows us to bring more pediatric services, with expanded office hours, to the area so families don’t need to travel far for exceptional care,” said Michael Mainwaring, vice president of community care at Akron Children’s Hospital. “We’re always looking for ways to better serve families so the health center provides us with a great footprint for bringing even more specialty services to the area in the future.”

The health center’s main entrance is currently under construction.

A new physician will join the office, which will continue to be staffed by board-certified pediatricians, nurse practitioners and pediatric nurses.
