Xander Stormer has got the beat with his bone conduction hearing aids, which are worn on a headband to provide stimulation via vibration.
Since adjusting to the use of bone conduction hearing aids, Xander Stormer who’s almost 2 years old is now hitting some real high notes and overcoming his hearing loss.
“We still have some work to do, but Xander’s newfound acceptance of the devices has put him on the right path,” said Akron Children’s pediatric audiologist Kimberly Lyle. “Every time I talk to his mom she tells me about how he loves listening to music – especially the Wiggles – with his devices on and he is picking up more words!”
Mom Trisha Ball says Xander is now saying phrases like “thank you” and “excuse me.” But it’s also great to see and hear this toddler singing his heart out to “Staying Alive”!
