If you ask Dr. Anthony Silverio, he’s a kid walking the halls of Akron Children’s Hospital in big-kid shoes. He says that perspective helps him better connect with children and their families on a daily basis as our newest pediatric surgeon in Orthopedics.
So it’s no surprise he takes a tender, positive — and sometimes silly — approach when diagnosing and surgically treating children and teens with bone, joint or muscle problems, including sports-related injuries, scoliosis and spina bifida. As a kid-at-heart, Dr. Silverio’s goal is to quickly get kids back to play — whether that’s a competitive game of high school football or Red light/Green light.
