While about 75 percent of kids experience a heart murmur during childhood, most of these murmurs are considered normal and may eventually go away on their own. Sometimes murmurs come and go.
In January of 2012 my water broke at 25 weeks and I was immediately put on bed rest. I ended up delivering our son just shy of 28 weeks, 3 months early. Eron was delivered by C-section, weighing only 2 lbs., and 5 ozs., and 13 1/2 inches long. Before my son was even delivered the neonatal transport team was already there to take him.
On Wednesday, Jan. 26, I accompanied my daughter and her 2-year-old son to the ED of our local adult hospital. Tony had experienced a rather severe dog bite at his babysitter’s house.
The 15th annual “Have a Heart, Do Your Part” radiothon ended this year as another success. The radiothon kicked off on Feb. 12 during the Change Bandit Bash at the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls. More than 300 people attended the Bash to turn in their spare change and enjoy food and giveaways as well as activities such as face painting.
My twins Raelyn and Jaxson were graduates of Akron Children’s NICU. They just celebrated their 1st Birthday and are healthy and happy babies. I made this video of their first year.
