Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Explain current pediatric hypertension guidelines. 2. Describe future direction of pediatric hypertension management.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists and nurses.

Identified Gap:

Hypertension occurs in 2-5% of all pediatric patients. Being one of the top five chronic illnesses in children today, the AAP has issued new guidelines to address diagnosis and treatment of pediatric hypertension.

The learner will view the presentation, successfully complete a post-test and complete an activity evaluation.
