Grand Rounds: Finding Our Way Back to School: Lessons Learned in the Classroom of COVID

Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Identify nine key areas where social emotional elements of schools were negatively affected during the March 2020 - Summer 2021 timeframe. 2. Link evidence-based intervention to those nine key areas of social emotional need to improve comprehensive academic and behavioral outcomes in the new academic year. 3. Explore potential social emotional hazards on the horizon as the COVID-19 pandemic continues with the intent of supporting participants in those nascent challenges.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

Update on COVID effects on school age children and their return to the classroom.

Method of Physician Participation in the Learning Process:

The learner will view the presentation, successfully complete a post-test and complete an activity evaluation.

Evaluation Methods:

All learners must successfully complete a post-test, as well as an activity evaluation, to claim CME credit.
