Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Develop an understanding of the components of an effective assessment process. 2. Describe the purposes of the milestones, EPAs and OPAs. 3. Utilize an effective assessment tool to write written comments.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists and nurses

Identified Gap:

Assessment and evaluation of those in training for the medical profession is an integral part of assuring clinical competency.

Method of Physician Participation in the Learning Process:

The learner will view the presentation, successfully complete a post-test and complete an activity evaluation.

Evaluation Methods:

All learners must successfully complete a post-test, as well as an activity evaluation, to claim CME credit.
