Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Explain the general principles of transport practice and patient care principles. 2. Identify available modes for interfacility transport and summarize indications for each mode. 3. Identify how video telemedicine can enhance the medical control physician's ability to provide expert consultation and remotely guide management of patients at referral facilities.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

Improvements in video telemedicine result in enhanced physician consultation and patient care.

Method of Physician Participation in the Learning Process:

The learner will view the presentation, successfully complete a post-test and complete an activity evaluation.

Evaluation Methods:

All learners must successfully complete a post-test, as well as an activity evaluation, to claim CME credit.
