Minding Your Mental Health Lunch & Learn

Mental health is a sensitive topic, but is necessary for a healthy lifestyle. Much like our bodies, our minds can also become unwell. Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S.—43.8 million, or 18.5%—experience mental/emotional issues in a given year, which includes depression, anxiety, eating disorders, or bipolar disorder. It’s important to talk about mental health and get help if needed, just as most people do for their physical health.

The Akron Children’s Hospital Wellness Program brings you this interactive Lunch & Learn presentation that will discuss different types of mental issues, signs and symptoms, and various coping methods to help you better manage stress and other complications that can disrupt your mental wellbeing.

Cost: Free
Presenter: Gina Greenaway, Wellness Intern

Please contact Melody Case, Wellness Coordinator at the Beeghly Campus at 330-746-8716 or mcase@akronchildrens.org to register for this informational session. Participants may also attend via WebEx upon request.
